Greener Power Solutions

Greener was founded in January 2018 in order to make an impact on the CO2-footprint in on- and off-grid energy markets using mobile batteries and smart energy planning. The idea of bringing mobile battery systems to events emerged in 2014 after a backstage visit to one of the biggest festivals in The Netherlands. We were shocked to discover how little thought had gone into accurately and efficiently planning the power supply of lights, audio, food trucks etcetera. All we could see was unnecessarily massive equipment running on very low efficiency rates.

This had to be changed. Because Greener is always better!

While renewable energy and sustainability are the goal, fun and enthusiasm are definitely our means. Meet the people and machines brought together to execute the Greener mission.

Team

Klaas

Is the guy who makes it work. He has no clue how his desk looks and he likes it that way. In Klaas’s world there are no problems, only challenges. The faster, the better! Klaas will start on follow-ups and todos before the end of the meeting. He is a builder and loves technological innovation.

Dieter

Is a one-man army. Almost as energetic as our batteries, he charges forward and breaks through every hurdle. If you ask him about a new project, he’ll respond with “Go go go gooooo!!”. There is no such thing as being in too many places at the same time, Dieter always seems to be everywhere.

Lukas

Is naturally high on sustainability. He loves people and has made it his mission to improve their environment. In the dynamic world of events, paper is his patient friend. Lukas always has his eye on the bigger picture, no meeting can be too long, and you can always wake him up for some planning and strategizing. Lukas’s favorite reaction is: “Okay, but why?”

Jasper

Is the Battery Whisperer. Jasper talks to batteries in more languages than one can possibly perceive. Even the most stubborn machine will eventually be persuaded into obedience. Most common day issues can be related back to the great laws of physics, as well as their solutions. He works best with the support of a high-quality beer.

Thomas

Knows as much about batteries as he does about music. He is the only one on the team who actually studied the subject of translating scientific innovation into a business case and that’s what he is loved for. Thomas’s career as music producer gives him a keen ear to notice when an artist on stage is making a mess of it. And if they do, he is not too shy to crank up the battery to boost their performance.

Loves everything that has to do with wind. Whether it's kitesurfing or wind energy, for him sustainability and the outdoors lifestyle go hand in hand. Kai and his camera are inseparable. Together they look for content that shows how beautiful the world is and how good stuff comes from bringing innovation and sportsmanship together.

Batteries

Nico

Is most in touch with nature. Nickel and Cobalt give him the strength to power almost anything. Nico can also remember pi up to 3,141 decimals behind the comma. He does not like the rush of a festival.

Liwa

Materfamilias. Her devotion to her family and friends has reached superpower levels. She is always there to listen and support with reassuring words. However, her nosiness always annoys Nico a bit.

Kim

Came to The Netherlands when her parents divorced. After a short stay with Dany and Liwa she moved to England to go to Glastonbury and Boomtown Fair. She transcends borders and cultures, the world is her playground.

Joan

Is the cool uncle from Spain. He met Marky when while touring and they have been friends ever since. Joan is a hard worker, but he can be pretty cranky if you interrupt his siesta. This is easily resolved by getting him a cold beer and some calamari.

Izzy

Is the youngest of the group. She looks up to her big sister Gwen, but does not understand how you can party all week long. Izzy plans to become a professional dancer and tour the world with Cirque du Soleil.

Gwen

Is the rebel of the group. She likes to hang out at rave parties in neglected industrial sites. Even the Berghain became an easy and slow Tuesday evening to Gwen. Rumors has it that Gwen holds seven degrees in mixed-martial-arts and that she single-handedly saved a touring bus from crashing. Nobody dares to challenge the myth.

Emma

Some might think she is the outsider, but they are so nineties. Emma makes normcore core! She defines the “hip” in hipster. But watch out, behind the shy and fashionable appearance lies a fierce lioness, ready to rock your world.

Marky

Is always fooling around. After a short career on stage, his manager decided the place where Marky belongs is next to the stage, supporting others. But that doesn’t keep him from singing his heart out, from the moment the show starts until the lights go out.

Dany

Loves the winter and really gets his kicks out of ice skating between Christmas and New Year’s Eve. During summer he is usually abroad for work. He loves to discover new music on foreign festivals.

Herma

Has got everything organized. Herma is Carmen's daughter and takes care of here kin like no other. Did you know that Herma likes to sing along in the shower with her favorite nineties Eurodance hits?

Alice

Was once Joan's girlfriend. Sadly, it did not work out. Alice needed to do some soul searching, but Joan didn’t have time for this. Alice is still hoping that one day she can attend Burning Man together with her daughter Kim.

Bob

Comes to do, what he has to do. Strictly business, no fooling around. He is the quiet guy raving all night long, though Herma wants him in the house. Bob sneaks out of the house every once in a while to attend underground minimal techno events.

Carmen

Is the oldest and the wisest. Her wisdom is said to stretch to levels as small as the electron. She has seen it all and went to festivals years before Woodstock was invented. She is like a grandmother to all other batteries.

The song that gets her twistlocks moving? Greased Lightning, IT'S ELECTRIFYING!
